Mrs. Keya Seth grew up in a middle-class Bengali family as the only child. In her own words, "as a child, my life was pretty simple but never boring; I was always into something or the other". Be it painting or swimming, she did everything with sheer devotion. Her keen interest in sports, undying enthusiasm & continued hard work took her to the national level swimming championship. Her inherent knack & love for art was first expressed through paintings. She also made a mark as a budding artist in Kolkata through highly successful photography exhibitions at the Academy of Fine Arts.She got married a little early but that didn't change her enthusiasm or dreams, rather she got a partner to work together to make her dreams come true. Despite being a mother of two little ones, in 1996, she started her own beauty parlour, Priyodarshini in a 150 sq ft room at Paikpara.Ms. Seth was first encouraged about aromatherapy through some international seminars. The use of the 'soul molecules' of nature, the essential oils, for total beauty & wellbeing intrigued her. To gain further knowledge on the subject she took up multiple courses on aromatherapy in top notch universities. After completing the courses, she came back to the country with the dream to help people with her earned knowledge.From the year 2000, Mrs. Keya Seth started writing regularly for various popular Bengali lifestyle & beauty magazines. "Romonir Rupcharcha Rnnaghare" her first Beauty related write up was published in Bartaman Weekly Magazine. Next she wrote for various other publishing houses, including Anandabazar Pvt. Ltd., Aajkaal & Pratidin.As a result of her increasing popularity, she started receiving invitations for talk shows from multiple audio-visual mediums. Helping people to become more beautiful & healthy in a way that is completely natural & free from harmful side effects has always been Mrs. Keya Seth's dream & she accepted the offers heartily. Her shows like Srimati on ETV, Srimoyee on Akash Bangla, Nari on Zee Bangla & Rupkotha on Kolkata Doordarshan channel garnered not only huge popularity & fame but also an exponential demand for her aromatherapy based treatments. To help more people, she started her first chamber at Bhawanipur. Apart from consultation, she also provided freshly formulated aromatherapy potions to her patients to solve their skin & hair concerns. Her treatments worked like magic & the queue of people waiting patiently outside her chamber started growing every day. Being able to help so many people with her treatment fuelled her enthusiasm, so when she was invited to attend another chamber at Gariahat, Jasodabhavan, which later was transformed into the first Keya Seth Medi Spa, she accepted the offer gleefully. However, she was not able to fulfil the mounting demand for her treatment potions only through her two chambers. This is when she planned to give her treatment potions the form of products, so that they can reach the people waiting eagerly for her treatments with ease.Mrs. Seth published her first book "Adhunik Rupchorcha" in the year 2003, which added to her growing popularity.In 2004, Keya Seth Ayurvedic Solution (Cosmetic Division) was registered & the brand started its sail with 9 products formulated by Mrs. Keya Seth herself. At the same time the brand entered the formal distribution chain to make sure that the products quickly reach the customers. Alopex, Root Active Hair Vitalizer, Fairy Pack, Fair & Bright Oil, Clear & Clean Solution, Clear Off Pack, Hair Protein Pack, Jojoba Powder Scrub & Walnut Powder Scrub were the first products launched by the brand.
